The Greatest Man in History
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!

All the best! May God use your 'A' level results as stepping stones or guideposts to discover His purpose for your life.

In Christ,
Joshua Loke

Hi all,
Thought this might be interesting.

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD......

The Awesomeness of God!

IN CHEMISTRY, HE TURNED WATER TO WINE

IN BIOLOGY, HE WAS BORN WITHOUT THE NORMAL CONCEPTION.

IN PHYSICS, HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF GRAVITY WHEN HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN

IN ECONOMICS, HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURN BY FEEDING 5000
MEN WITH TWO FISHES and 5 LOAVES OF BREAD;

IN MEDICINE, HE CURED THE SICK AND THE BLIND WITHOUT ADMINISTERING A
SINGLE DOSE OF DRUGS,

IN HISTORY, HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END;

IN GOVERNMENT, HE SAID THAT HE SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, PRINCE OF PEACE;

IN RELIGION, HE SAID NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM;

SO,WHO IS HE? HE IS JESUS!

In Christ,
Joshua Loke

Let me be a little kinder

Let me be a little blinder

To the faults of those about me;

Let me praise a little more.

Let me be a little meeker

With the brother that is weaker,

Let me think more of my neighbour

And a little less of me.

Hey cellmates, here's Ziyan's message which I omitted by accident in the farewell card. (:

The most recent update on the hostage situation in Afghanistan is bleak, with the killing of a second hostage. We aren't sure what God has planned ahead for them but let's keep faith in prayer.

Also, I'll be speaking abt ourselves as a chosen generation and I feel this verse encapsulates what I'll be focusing on.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

Jiayou J2 cellmates and keep drawing from His strength and wisdom!

Hi all,

Since this is my first time blogging, I'll like to, like all meetings, open with a word of prayer. The following is a prayer for exams that I found useful and inspiring.

Lord grant me the right attitude towards my examinations,
That even when I study, I want to glorify your name.
Give me the strength that I may press on,
Perseverance that I can endure,
Good health that I may study effectively.

Help me to be single-minded when I study,
Remove all other thoughts, distractions and anxieties,
Give me the ability to concentrate,
The ability to understand and to remember.

Show me the way to study intelligently,
To know what is important and what is not.
Provide me Lord with quality time in my studies,
Remove all tensions and fears within me.
Fill me with thy confidence,
Teach me to draw strength from you each day.
Let me learn to trust you in such times.

In the examination hall, be with me Lord.
Grant me the clarity and sharpness of thoughts.
Let me not get distracted by things around me.
Give me concentration and calmness Lord.
Help me to gather my thoughts of what I've learnt.
Grant me the discipline to space out time equally on all questions.
Most of all, help me to complete the questions on time.

Despite examinations Lord, continue to grant me quality time with you,
Let me not neglect you.
Give me a balanced diet between my studies and service for you.
I just want to commit the whole examination into your hands,
Knowing that you are a God who cares and answers prayers.

THANK YOU!
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and Saviour, AMEN.

In Christ,
Joshua Loke

My thoughts were wandering(as usual) when I was supposed to study econs.
And I suddenly thought of this question: How would I react if I only had 24hrs left?

And it dawned upon me. Sadness.
Of course, I'll be sad that I still have so many things and dreams undone, leaving my family and friends and stuffs...But most importantly I feel sad that I am the only one to get to enter God's eternal kingdom after I leave this temporal world. The people that I love the most aren't. I am sad that in my lifetime I have not been able to be Christ's ambassador to spread His Word and faith to those I love.

Let's be practical. How many of us do actually have the courage to speak about the Word, about God to your non-believer friends. I certainly don't. Of course I do hope that one day they will also be God's children but I am afraid of losing the friendship at the same time too. I am afraid that people might deem me as too aggressive and forgo the friendship that we have built up for so long. It may seem to be exaggerating but religion is a sensitive issue. Okay maybe this is only applicable to me.

I hope that the Lord will bless us with courage and greater faith so that we may continue to grow stronger in Him and one day let our actions and words speak forth of His glory.
